Quick answer
What dental treatments can I have in Istanbul, and how does planning work?
Partner dental clinics in Istanbul offer implants, including full-arch options such as All-on-4 and All-on-6, crowns, veneers, digital smile design and laser-assisted gum treatment. Planning starts at home: you send a recent panoramic X-ray or CBCT scan and photos, a partner dentist proposes a written treatment plan, and Med World Türkiye coordinates the trip. Implants usually need two visits; veneers and crowns often need one.
Procedures available through our partner hospitals
Hollywood Smile (Digital Smile Design)
Photos, scans and digital planning software are used to design the new smile around your face, so you can see a mock-up before any tooth is prepared.
Implant Dentistry — Full-Mouth Restoration
All-on-4 and All-on-6 techniques can give fixed teeth even when no natural teeth remain, if bone quality allows; the dentist confirms suitability from your scans.
Aesthetic Crowns & Veneers
Zirconia, E-Max (all-ceramic) and porcelain laminate veneers. Some options need the natural teeth to be prepared, which cannot be reversed.
Laser-Assisted Treatments
Gum contouring (gingivectomy) and selected soft-tissue procedures carried out with a dental laser under local anaesthesia.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I really need veneers or crowns, or could whitening, bonding or aligners fix my smile instead?
Not always: crowns and veneers remove some natural tooth structure, so they should be chosen only when simpler options will not achieve what you want. Whitening, composite bonding or orthodontic aligners can be enough for mild discolouration, small chips or gaps. Ask the partner dentist to explain in writing why each tooth is treated and what the alternatives are. Healthy teeth should be kept wherever possible, and you can show the plan to your own dentist before agreeing.
How long will I need to stay in Istanbul for veneers, crowns or dental implants?
It depends on the treatment, and your written plan states the expected number of visits. Veneers and crowns are often completed in one trip of about a week, because the teeth are prepared, temporaries fitted and the final restorations made in a dental laboratory. Implants usually need two trips: one to place them and a second, after several months of healing at home, for the final teeth. Bone grafting or a sinus lift can add time.
What should I send so a dentist in Istanbul can review my case before I travel?
Send a recent panoramic X-ray or, ideally, a CBCT scan, plus clear photos of your smile and bite taken from the front and both sides. Add a short note on what bothers you, previous dental work, gum problems, and your medical history and medicines, especially blood thinners or diabetes treatment. If you have no scan, the partner clinic can take one on arrival, although the plan may then change after the examination.
Can I fly home straight after dental work in Istanbul, and what will eating be like?
Flying is usually fine once the dentist has checked your bite and any surgical areas, but after a sinus lift you may be asked to wait longer, because cabin pressure changes can affect healing. Expect some sensitivity or soreness for a few days and a soft diet after implant surgery. Ask the partner dentist for written aftercare instructions, the implant system and materials used, and copies of your X-rays to take home.
How do I look after veneers or implants back home, and what if something chips or loosens?
Treat them like natural teeth: brush twice a day, clean between them with floss or interdental brushes, and keep regular check-ups and hygiene visits with a dentist at home. If you grind your teeth, a night guard helps protect veneers and crowns. Keep your treatment records, including materials and implant brand, so a local dentist can help if something chips or loosens. Your written plan should say how later adjustments are handled.
What is the cost advantage of being treated in Türkiye?
Treatment in Türkiye often costs less than private treatment in countries such as the US, Canada, the UK and much of Western Europe, mainly because of lower operating costs. Med World Türkiye does not set medical pricing — fees are quoted by our independent partner hospitals and clinicians in a written, itemised quote after they review your case.
How do transfers and accommodation work?
If you want, your coordinator arranges airport pickup, transfers and a hotel near the partner hospital for your stay. What is included is listed in your written quote, so you can check it item by item before you travel.
Will I be able to communicate in my own language?
You can contact us in any of the site's ten languages: English, Turkish, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Russian, Arabic and Greek. Interpreter support for hospital appointments can be arranged; ask your coordinator which languages are available for your dates.
Are the partner hospitals internationally accredited?
Med World Türkiye works with JCI-accredited partner hospitals. JCI (Joint Commission International) is a widely recognised international accreditation for healthcare quality. Treating physicians are licensed by the Turkish Ministry of Health.
What happens after I return to my country?
Follow-up after you return home is arranged with the treating team, for example by scheduled video appointments, and your written quote states how long it lasts and what it includes. Clinical decisions remain the responsibility of the treating physician.
